Product description:
MedVance™ Silicone Foam Dressing without Border is an absorbent self-adherent foam dressing consisting of polyurethane (PU) foam coated with soft and hypoallergenic silicone adhesive and breathable polyurethane film. The highly absorbent foam pad can absorb large amount of wound exudate and the soft silicone adhesive acts as a gentle wound contact layer which does not stick to the wound bed thus minimizes the epithelia stripping during dressing removal and change. The breathable PU film allows the passage of oxygen and water vapor that can prevent wound bed maceration whilst providing a moist wound healing environment.
SafeTac Technology:
- Tacks gently to dry surfaces, like skin, but not to moist surfaces, such as open wounds
- Molds to the skin's pores, covering more skin surface and spreading peel forces on removal to prevent skin stripping
- Seals the wound margins, ensuring exudate does not spread to the surrounding skin and minimizing maceration
Features and Benefits:
- Soft and Hypoallergenic silicone adhesive acts as a wound contact layer that does not stick to the wound bed but to the intact skin thus prevents secondary damage and minimizes pain during dressing removal and change.
- Highly absorbent foam can minimize the wound bed maceration while providing a moist wound healing environment.
- Semi-permeable PU film acts a liquid barrier while allows the passage of oxygen and water vapor.
- Conforms to body contours and provides maximum patient comfort.
- Easy to apply and remove
- SafeTac Technology - Impedes horizontal leakage
Indications For Use:
MedVance™ Silicone Foam Dressing can be used on moderate to heavily exuding acute and chronic wounds, including partial and full-thickness wounds, such as pressure ulcers, leg, venous, and diabetic foot ulcers, traumatic wounds, abrasions and other wounds healed by secondary intention.
